New Dolls

I hope to post photos of my new dolls soon. I'm working on several original dolls as well as a few Hitty dolls. Some may be offered via Ebay, so search for "Jean Lotz" and save the search as one of your Ebay favorites.

I maintain a "contact list" to notify people when dolls become available directly from my studio or via Ebay. Please note that this is not a "waiting list" since I can not promise any dolls. I'm sorry that I can no longer take commissions.

"Holly and Magnolia Babies

1998 Holly Babies (undressed)
These two Holly Babies are not available

I have called my Holly babies "Holly nut dolls" in the past. I know Holly trees do not produce nuts -- I'm NUTS about carving Holly and they are tiny like a little nut! My Holly babies are small dolls made from the wood of a holly tree. They are wood heads and hands on a wire armature wrapped with cotton. They are small enough to wear as a pin, or remove the jewelry finding to keep them as a mini doll. These are usually only offered at sales where I am making a personal appearance.

Summer Fun Boys - retired

Boys having some fun flying their kites and getting a little dirty too - just being boys!

The Baron

He's wearing baggy pants and has a bowl hair cut. He has a winning smile and is very fussy about his hair. He looks like he can make it through a hurricane without a hair out of place! He is a shy, quiet boy that often views things from a sentimental point of view. Well. He's been called inside by his mother much too early for his likes. He's giving her "the look".

Slumber Party - retired

Girl dolls dressed to go to the mall with their "macramé" sandals and purses in the late 90's "70's revisited style". They also have their change of clothes for a slumber party.

These Lotz girl dolls are unique 15" ball-jointed hand carved wood dolls grouped together by theme. This is not an edition -- each doll is a one-of-a-kind! When posed together each set looks like a group of good friends.

Paula is the "little lady" of the group. She is quiet but NOT SHY and strong minded. She'll quickly defend girls when boys say, "Girls drool". This one is a little joker and she's planning some playful pranks. She is always kidding around and loves to make puns too. Her friends barely tolerate the puns. Lorie is a bit older than the other girls, but everyone just loves her. Can't you tell how nice that she is by her warm smile?
